"Baner Cymru or Y Ddraig Goch" (The Red Dragon) is the official name for the flag of Wales. This unique flag consists of the red dragon on a white and green field. The current design was adapted in 1959, but with many 'heraldic charges', the exact representation of the dragon is not standardized and many versions exist.
