From the hills of Anatolia to NATO field drills, this Turkish Army ALICE Pack brings old-school military functionality in a uniquely regional flavor. Based on the classic American ALICE system and a damn good clone, it’s a sturdy, no-nonsense rucksack ready to haul your gear whether you’re marching into the bush, prepping a bug-out bag, or just reliving the Cold War aesthetic.
Constructed from heavy-duty nylon Cordura canvas in the M81 Woodland camouflage pattern, this large field pack features a top-loading main compartment with a cinch cord, plus three external pockets with dome closures. These do not come with a frame or lumbar belt but are compatible with the US ALICE frame, which would increase the load-bearing ability.
The main differences between this pack and a USGI one is the exterior pockets are not pass through and addition of attached, cylindrical side pouches, instead of webbing. Pretty neat! Expect some signs of service - scuffs, faded camo, corrosion to metal fixings and a bit of character - but that’s part of the charm. These are built tough, meant for rough use, and have seen action in some serious terrain.

*Note* These will fit US ALICE pack frames - these have the sleeve on the back that the frame would tuck into like the US versions. However frame and lumbar pad are not included

For the money I paid this is a fantastic piece of kit. It differs from the usgi pack by having no passthrough loops behind the pockets, and addition pockets on the sides instead of webbing. Holds more gear than I thought possible, everything for two or three days hiking - including tent and modular sleep system. Comfortable, even without the frame.

Very happy with this, way way better conditionwise than I'd imagined it would be, I know these items must undergo some seriously heavy usage and was expecting to be patching and mending for a while. This showed minimum wear and is tough as boots. As a regular walker/hiker, more than aware of the price of the leading branded rucksacks, I'm amazed at how little this cost by comparison. And.... to my eyes anyhow.... it looks real good . I will certainly shop here again.

US army Alice packs are iconic. This Turkish one is in pretty good shape. It was obviously issued (early 2000) but it has no tears, no wearing and the camo is barely faded. But as you'd expect some of the snap buttons have corrosion and were iffy to separate. This Turkish version of the US Alice pack (medium) is almost exactly a clone of the US version, except it does not have the openings behind the front pockets, and it has extra pockets on the sides where the US version has a.l.i.c.e. system webbing for attaching gear. Overall very happy with the purchase. A little expensive, but worth it if you're an Alice pack fan, and cheaper than ebay surplus versions.
