Another quality surplus item from the Bundeswehr. Plenty of exterior storage and sturdy build, these are a solid and practical pack, which will stand up to years of abuse. Everybody loves a bit of flecktarn, too.
Initially, one might think ''what's a pack this size doing without any stiffner in the back!?'' Through typical German engineering genius, the Bundeswehr designed their sleeping mat to be flat-folding and this pad fits into a compartment in the back of the pack - creating a supporting frame!
The Rucksack opening and size is adjustable by means of four fastex clips; two which are designed to close the top-down flap, and two which are designed to compress or reinforce the bottom of the rucksack. Access your gear from under the lid or zippered bottom, each with draw cord collars.
Exterior straps designed to allow the user to hang a G36 (stock folded) but as the horizontal straps can be adjusted, it should also work with other rifles. Not just for firearms, the straps can also hold a fixed-handle shovel or a camp axe.
An ideal pack for camping, hunting, bugging out, hiking or any other outdoor activity that require a practical sized pack.

The pack I received came in a near mint condition with only the inside of the drawstring fabric being only slightly worn. This kind of made it hard to close the opening with the shoelace string cord that came with the pack but I replaced it with paracord and it works fine . Overall, all things considered, it still looks almost brand new and you can barely tell that it's an older surplus pack at all.
I've used cheaper reproductions of this pack before but I can tell that this pack is high quality as it has good stitching and make. I got this pack to replace my medium alice as it provides more packing room and the separate compartment at the bottom is perfect for accessing sleeping gear without having to explode the pack. There are also a lot of good pockets for storage of large and small items alike. In addition, the straps at the top are useful for strapping down jackets and items if need be.
The shipping process was also very quick and seamless and I''m honestly pretty happy with the pack.

The pack is sturdy and fits your essentials , with side pockets and the top flap being able to extend,it carries heaps . As for comfort, you get what you pay for. I did buy the fold up ground mat ( separately) and that helps for sure. But the shoulder straps could be wider/ thicker. Missing is the waist support. There is an un-padded waist strap that clips together but it ain't load bearing. All up its good value and usable. It's tough.

Best pack I have owned, thoroughly recommended. Solidly built and the accompanying sleeping mat (purchased separately) provides superb comfort when carrying a heavy load. 10/10.

I spent many years carrying a US ruck sack. I can’t say enough about this ruck, it makes for a easy carry and comfortable. I was so impressed I got 2, one for me and one for my wife.
Needless to say I am still married and in the good books so that’s got to say something for the quality.
