Much of the adult population would have owned the likes of a GP-5 gas mask including teenagers and other children, but of course unrestricted nuclear\/chemical warfare knows no bounds and thus, small children needed protection as well. The 'PDF' mask design contains many different sub variants, but ultimately functions the same. Made from the 1950's all the way through to the 1980's, many of these have sat secluded in storage for half a century or more!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese masks have many variations but the big one is the 'Size 1' - these are the smallest and have the hose located on the cheek where as all the other sizes have the hose located on the nose area. Most have elasticated fabric straps and a metal exhale valve while the odd one has rubber straps and a plastic ventilation cap (all of these have sub-nomenclature but fall under the PDF family tree). All straps are adjustable and the hose has a 40mm GOST thread - \u003cstrong\u003efilters are not included \u003c\/strong\u003ehowever. For those who would like to complete the setup for displays, filters came in two flavours, a large DP-6 (equivalent of a GP-4 adult filter) or a DP-6m which was a lot smaller \u0026amp; well suited for small children to carry for hours on end.
